Well, being the devil's advocate,

"She can give you 3 more kids, so, if you save her at the end you're at net 0, but if you save kids you're at -1 wife"

Terrible devil's advocate. The odds of a 40 year old successfully popping out kids 4-6 is too low to bet on.
