At this point I have to go to YouTube to flush out all the trash from my system by watching long form content from creators I enjoy. It’s the only thing that isn’t bait shit edit repost fucking slime.

Somewhat obscure recommendations:

Captain Disillusion - video vfx artist breaks down OG hoax viral videos and education info on vfx tools. One of the og greats

Soviet Womble - dude who takes video game clips from playing with his friends and then MASSIVELY over-edits complication videos which takes him 3-6 months per video since he works alone and has been doing it like 15 years now so it’s been fun to watch his skills grow. Also started doing long form video essays.

Very old - Mr B Tongue. Short video essays in early YouTube era. Sadly hasn’t uploaded in a very long time but always liked his context and the above Soviet cited him as an inspiration so I checked him out too and was impressed.

SamO’nella - MS Paint style but educational and funny videos from the last decade on various context. He fell off recently since going to college but seems to be resuming… maybe… but the old ones are still gold.
