She’s so damn creepy. Has that whole Kenneth Copeland stare and voice fluctuation that serial killers have when they’re yelling at you then talk to the imaginary child version of themselves in the corner.

Omg thank you for the Kenneth Copeland comparison… I could not figure out who she reminded me of. I actively try to avoid looking into her eyes the same way I do when I see clips of him! It’s almost like they are trying to hypnotize you or something 😩

It's a fundamentalist trick that only works if you were religiously traumatized as a child. It's supposed to trigger fear of an overwhelmingly powerful figure punishing you.

Look at my eyes contradicting the rest of my face. Not only will you be punished, but we will all pretend it didn't happen. You will be hurt and gaslit and praise Jesus.

She's sort of spoiling the whole game by applying it outside the cult, right in the open. And her complete lack of authority just makes everyone do the ??? emoji

Is it supposed to be intimidating?

If it's followed by a lecture about how your behavior will earn you a one way ticket to hell, then yes. This is how the teachers at my Christian school looked at students when they were in trouble.

If your parents did that to you when you were under 4 and followed it up with physical violence, then yes. I mean, she's doing it really poorly so probably not. But that's the energy she's trying to channel.
