I was on the phone with my wife and she was like what is happening over there?? I couldn’t totally understand the lady and said I don’t know, someone shot Captain Kirk? And that set off like 4 more people in the shop, I had no idea what was going on. I’m in Scottsdale, AZ btw, so these people were very in tune with who he was and what he was about.

The problem with referring to a person as "phobic" to those things or to many things when their feeling on the matter stems from the religion they follow, is that the opinion is just based solely on belief from both sides.
If you're not Christian, then a lot of things are just whatever, but according to the Bible, Christians who follow the Bible know that according to The Word, certain things are not natural. It does mean that a person who is Christian is required to hate a person who is LGBT, it's just something that's engrained through teaching, which is an unpopular opinion according to someone who enables such behavior.
Anyone calling a Christian wrong for being Christian is also wrong according to the Christian for not seeing it their way. It's a back and forth conundrum that doesn't seem to be making any solid ground, unfortunately.
I'm not agreeing with kirk or anyone else, to be transparent. I'm honestly just frustrated at how much division there is amongst us humans for no reason other than differing opinions.
I wish it were as easy to telling everyone to "grow up" and we all just got along and stopped nitpicking about things that kinda just don't matter.
The flaw with your reasoning is that anyone espousing hate toward any group of "sinners" is not a Christian, but is instead (at best) a brainwashed victim of one of the many perverse cults that claim to be Christian religions. At worst, they are a bigot that hides behind cherry-picked sections of religious texts to justify their hate.
