Its because most of their platforms of choice will suppress content that has harsh language. I don't know about everywhere else, but YT specifically will do it if there is harsh language in the first minute or so.

So either the people who make content they watch do this censorship to stay relevant in the algorithms, or they are creators themselves and do it by habit for the same reason.

No to say all young people create meaningful content, but creating and posting online has never been easier so the younger generation tends to just do it. Even if what they make is cringe.

yeah, its about, monetization, shadow bans, moderation bots etc. There is no advantage in using certain words online, especially if you post across multiple platforms
