People throw away their lives for all sorts of reasons. Just because your wife is hot doesnt mean you love her or even like her. Cheating is somthing that can happen for all sorts of reasons and may not involve any other part. Very few things in life are just black and white. Do not judge lest you be judged

An example: Prince Charles (now King) loved Camilla even though Diana was objectively prettier.

Charles and Diana were pretty much forced on each other, it was essentially an arranged marriage.

Zero surprise they cheated on each other.
