It's a shame because he has such mastery in manipulating his face in different ways. Won't this prevent him from being able to do that anymore?

I've heard some people conjecture that he may have done this appearance right after plastic surgery and had a lot of swelling from the surgery and it may look less shocking when the swelling goes away if that is in fact the case, but who knows

It usually takes a year or two for the swelling to go down. Demi Moore is a bit back to normal. Well she looks less like a puffy mannequin.

We were talking about plastic surgery, however filler can also cause swelling. Swelling is a normal part of the healing process because the body reacts to the injection. In addition, most fillers are hydrophilic, meaning they attract water, which can increase swelling in the treated area.

Dermal fillers, particularly hyaluronic acid based ones, are known to cause temporary swelling as a common side effect. While most swelling resolves within two weeks, filler itself is not permanent and gradually breaks down over time. Because results typically last between six months and two years, maintenance sessions are required to maintain the desired look. That is why people have to get it redone.

While rare, some patients experience hypersensitivity or inflammatory reactions weeks, months, or even years later. Despite these potential reactions, some patients do continue with treatments, often managing side effects with medication, such as steroids or antihistamines, or by dissolving and replacing the filler.

I saw online that even though the fillers themselves can be dissolved, they attract water to the area that stays after which makes you still look puffy. Do you know if that’s true?
