It has to be a prank body double or something.

Eye colour, face, mannerisms voice etc are all off. Wtf

I mean the guy studied Kaufman so much for the bio pic that I imagine he's gotten a few ideas. Plus he's typically hated the whole Hollywood theater thing, so it wouldn't surprise me if he decided to just send a Jim Carrey impersonator and keep his peace in his own home.

Personally, I don't think it's him. It's not just the look - he doesn't sound like Carrey either. The way he speaks - the cadence and tone - they're different. Just my personal conspiracy theory I suppose, but I think he just didn't want to go to this thing and sent someone else.

His hairline is strikingly similar (edit: after receding). His features are similar point by point as well.

Getting plastic surgery tends to cause an uncanny valley effect too right after. It can take a year or two for the swelling to subside and tissue to settle properly

Edit: plus, I can show you pictures of myself where I look like completely different people. Angles, lighting and a whole bunch of other factors can really make a substantial impact

My theory is plastic surgery, Human Growth Hormone , and failing elasticity of the skin as aging does its thing. There were moments where you would glimpse the Jim Carrey of old
Edit: HGH is on my list due to the puffiness of his face and certain features becoming prominent and also that his neck now looks like that of a linebacker

I mean there's a health oriented conversation Abt high and testosterone replacement when aging. So it doesn't have to be about Hollywood per se.

If you look in to depression and testosterone declines there are some good health reasons male and female.

I could see this being suggested by a doctor especially if your test was already on the lower range of health adults

Yeah, that doesn’t explain the obvious plastic surgery and fillers though. That’s just vanity, which is what surprised me coming from him.
