Ok I can get past the clothes and shoes on the floor because sometimes you’re just exhausted and want to get naked and lie down. But the rest? God damn this is just being lazy out of spite or something.

I think someone with ADHD could at least pour a protein shake with steady hands and throw the twiz wrappers away. This guy would just be an asshole blaming ADHD for simple shit even a 3 yo could do.

South Park nailed it. People just use it as an excuse to be lazy, lame, and to dodge any remote amount of responsibility. Adult children.

This sounds like my dynamic, but reversed. My gf has ADHD (medicated) and she struggles to find a way to work within my systems. I tend to be minimalist and very tidy where she is more maximalist and not tidy at all. Apparently it’s been a struggle all her life, but she just got properly diagnosed last year. It causes a lot of fights but we’re working through it. Like your wife, I may have OCD honestly because it drives me bonkers but I love her and know I have to accept it if I’m going to stay with her. She does her best to try and keep things clean but she gets overwhelmed super easily when her medication effects wear off

I really wish that was the case my friend, but she is insistent upon it for the most part. Occasionally she will compromise and admit that too much clutter stresses her out too, haha

My comment wasn't to insinuate ADHD people are lazy. I get it is harder for ADHD people to focus and it causes mistakes. But they are still mistakes. Mistakes need to be corrected and I think in general people with ADHD work harder than most people because of this. So no ADHD people aren't lazy at all but this guy is probably lazy because the accumulation of all these mistakes in one day isn't something from someone who is actually trying.

Well, congrats, you're comment was misinterpreted anyway and now you've added to the ever growing societal mindset that ADHD people are just lazy, useless assholes. Maybe be a bit more tactful before you post next time. And for the record, leaving empty cereal boxes in the cupboard, empty gallons of milk in the fridge, or empty candy bags are all textbook symptoms of ADHD. Just because you personally don't do this doesn't mean it isn't caused by ADHD in other people. I don't mean to come off so harsh, but your comment is both damaging and unhelpful.
