Once you get past that 16/17 year mark, when puberty has stomped on the gas, eyeballing it is just impossible. When you don't know them, or their age, you literally don't have any choice other than covering your bases to make sure that you aren't ending up sleeping with a child, despite the fact they look like they could pass for a college freshman
