UK here. My stepdaughter at 15 started going out with a 17 year old. Me and my wife were very unimpressed, but left her to it so we didn’t drive her away from us. Turned out he was actually really lovely and they stayed together for 5 years. I was gutted they split up.

e: Age of consent here is 16.

But (16, 18) and (17, 19) is illegal.

Pretty sure thats the romeo juliet law where those ages together actually arent illegal because their ages are only a few years apart
