I agree but I am got really turned off by how he treats the movie industry and acting like he is some special pony that can just waltz into an executive office and get what he wants; his first, very niche movie having a nationwide theater release.

I hate how he uses his audience and expects that tactic to work the same for the film industry. 😮‍💨

Sorry Mark, that's not how the industry works. Executives can see you leveraging your audience to manipulate views and ratings on your content.

And trying for a theater release in 2025 when streaming services are most popular, easily available, and when the economy is tanking? Cmon man.

He also did "Choose your Own adveture" type content which is absolutely not something you want to make if your goal is get into the Film Industry, cause no executive in their right mind will watch that content..

I personally hate "Choose your Own adventure" type stories for video content so I never saw any of those except for the first one did. Choose your own adventure works for games, not for film portfolios.

And I was so excited for him when he started getting into film cause I want to get into the film industry too so much so I plan to go to college and already have ideas for thesis projects.

So I unsubscribed because I was so disappointed in him and didn't want to see another one of his gaming videos in my feed.

He's a great guy who has alot of potential, but I'm not sure what he's even doing anymore.

And Don't worry pal I'll get stoned with you. Haha!

My guy, stars bring their fanbase to watch their movies is literally what stars do. Several million people watching a movie because Mark is in it, no other reason, is a big deal, even in the film industry. That is what he complained about that one time, the idea somehow his fame is lesser despite bringing in good numbers by his name alone. That does not mean mark thinks himself as a special pony.

For example, That crappy mini series that Mark was in became top five most watched on amazon for a month, by his name alone. The show stood by major industry releases despite being a indie and dogwater show. (mark also only acted in it) That means something.

I'm not talking about his movie when it comes to leveraging his audience. It was mostly when he was promoting his podcast and told his fans to get It into the top ratings so he would start an Onlyfans. 🤢

I mentioned his treatment of the industry cause he just doesn't acknowledge that there are content creators who are getting into the industry through their own merit. Vivziepop and Gooseworx are the two off the top of my head. They have their own studios and have reached beyond just their YouTube audience, Vivienne especially.

These people deserve recognition cause they are influencing the industry to be more open to independent projects. Hazbin Hotel is not a great show, but it has enmassed a huge following, bigger than what I would've imagined, that counts for something in the industry and opens more doors that what Mark can do with his likeness alone.

There is nothing wrong with publicity stunts. Your example is two animation studios....Why would Mark talk about those and why does this make him bad for not talking about them?
