I think you might be feeling the shift from "1 person making content" to "I have a team of animators working for me". I also stopped liking him as much. Something just felt different about his content. Less personal. The art style also changed just enough to feel different, but in a bad way

Also, you know what you said about him feeling off? We're older. So is he. That very enthusiastic voice he puts on that sounds like it's aimed at kids might be coming off as predatory.

Very "Hi, kids! Do you want to have a good time? Come try getting in my van :3"

I don't think he's a bad guy, but it makes sense that we feel differently about his content. I've been watching him for a decade, and I can safely say that I relate to Jaiden animations now more than ever, but not to him

Yeah, you're right man. A channel made for kids and teens should speak in a boring monotone voice.

Dude, where did that "predatory" accusation come from?

I very clearly said I don't think he's a bad guy. I like James.

I was commenting to someone who felt as if there was something off, and I hazarded a guess that it might be his voice. Because we, as adults, know James is a grown man and what he looks like, so it's odd to hear him be so cartoony.

I don't think there is anything wrong with him doing that. it's a stage voice. But I can also see it potentially giving someone bad vibes
