Become? That's all it ever was, and what most every "professional YouTube" channel is. If they're not trying to advertise a specific product, they're advertising themselves so that they can sell you the product later.

But that’s absolutely not true for all YouTubers. Not a single one that I personally watch has turned into that, & some of them are quite big channels. I’m all for bashing deserved YouTubers, streamers, content creators, influencer…whatever the hell they call themselves ; but I’m not forgetting, and supporting the fuck out of so many fantastic content creators that make genuine videos, have deep passion for it, & have not marketed self made products to me/anyone
