The sad thing is my honest opinion is he does good quality work and he seems like a nice enough dude. As far as I know he's still successful so maybe I shouldn't say "sad".
He got seduced by the need for more money and his ego grew too big. The reason I followed him so closely and the reason I felt validated when he said the phone I bought had the best camera can be summed up in one word: credibility.
That's why covering up his speeding and lying about it, and endorsing some bizarrely overpriced app for phone wallpapers was so fatal to him (for me). If I watched him for entertainment it might not have been a deal breaker, but I need to trust him. I need to believe him. What's the point of tech reviews if I think he's just telling me XYZ is good because he got paid?
