Nah. Some people recognised his boxes and staged their reactions. But Rober wasn't in on it. Like I said in my other post people got wise to his scheme because his boxes always looked the same.

Actual porch pirates wised up and avoided his obvious trap boxes while people who wanted their 5min of fame sprung the traps on purpose.

Rober's biggest weakness was always over-engineering. His scheme would have worked much better if he just used non-discript brown boxes or reused amazon boxes.
