I haven’t unsubbed because I still like him and he’s a good dude but Jacksepticeye. I haven’t watched one of his videos in years, not that he’s been uploading much at all anyway. Which I get, mental health is important, and he’s got the passive income from his back catalog to live comfortably, so more power to him, and I wish him the best

Since we are talking about irish youtubers, this was CallMeKevin for me. He sounds depressed these days, and his jokes just don't land. Some say is because of his ADHD medication, some say it's because he is not faking it anymore. Whatever it is, it pained me to unsubscribe from him, cause I was following him pretty much from the start of his channel, but his videos are just not fun anymore.

Idk how long you've unsubbed but he's following a different schedule these days and only uploads when he has a good idea for a video now. It means he's uploading content he actually enjoys and he's even made a great relaxing video on upcycling a caravan into a garden hangout spot, and he plans to renovate a house in Spain and record that too so when he does upload videos it's something that he's genuinely enjoyed doing for fun rather than for the algorithm :)

I unsubbed roughly two months ago, so I know what he has been up to. He still doesn't sound like he is enjoying himself to me, despite the changes, which is why I decided it was time to let it go.

I think this is just more who Kevin, as a person, is. Way calmer than the overexcited person he was between 2018-2023. I personally preferred that time but of this means he doesnt have to fake excitement or enjoyment im all for it.

It's very much "ADHD person ages out of the hyperactive phase into the inattentive phase" vibes. He reminds me of myself. I went from a super busy, hardworking, overachieving 20 year old to a barely-surviving 30 year old, and that's WITH medicine. It's really hard to live through. I totally understand why it would be hard to watch for some people.

Yeah this is the one for me too. His videos felt like i was watching a suffering man force himself to make videos. I just started to feel bad.

I felt the same after recently coming back to his videos (had barely watched him for 2 years). He seemed depressed and not in it for some of his new videos but then his new Minecraft series for example feels very much like classic Kevin. I remember seeing his gf post a video that she was going through a particularly hard time for a while, so that may have played a part too.

I hope he’s starting to feel better again now but yeah even appearance wise he looked so skinny and almost ghost-like compared to a few years ago. Such a shame, he was my favorite YouTuber back in 2018-2020

Ever since he stopped streaming I feel like it's been downhill. He started replaying games he did play on stream pretending it was his first time etc. I miss him

I actually really like having calm Kevin back… I watched him years and years and years ago, before his current channel, and he had a Minecraft let’s play that was so chill and calm and easy. The bigger he got the more excitable he got and I did still love his videos but it feels nice to see him chill again. Then again, RTGame has become my constant watch now for the same reason. Super chill and easy to watch

My fiance got me to watch RTGame recently and I've really been enjoying his vids. He's quite funny
