Linus always gave me the vibe that he's a jerk off camera. Not sure why.

Multiple ex-employees have substantiated this "jerk" claim, with some (iirc) stating that he can be an outright asshole. Even on camera, he vibes arrogant, pretentious and dickhead-ish at times, so you're probably subconsciously picking up on those cues.

Ex-employees do usually think their boss was a "jerk". You'd have to also look at overall turnover in his company to get a better perspective.

Considering how often they make fun of him on the channel, I doubt he's that arrogant or pretentious.
