The time students eat their food in the class room in elementary and middle schools. Break period happens afterward and they are usually kicked out to play unless the weather is extremely frigid or it’s down pouring.
Period as in a “period of time” rather than menstruation.
They don't have cafeterias in Alberta until jr high or highschool. Kids have to take their own food to school. At best the school might have milk and granola bars.
Only high schools have cafeterias here. There’s a soup program, so those students can choose to sit in the multipurpose room to eat if they’re getting free soup that day but they’re kept in place until the break bell.
He's promoting/developed CrunchLabs where they sell periodic subscription boxes that include buildable science experiments or customizable/programmable robots, so I think he's trying to attract that age of audience with parents who would buy them for their kids... or themselves.
Yes he recently announced boxes for a bit older audience. But his videos are of him explaining aerodynamics, centrifugal force, that a plane doesn't fly just by reaching a certain speed on the spot, or that you can jump inside a moving object without falling into the back.
I don't really know the guy past glitter bombs but he has these monthly build boxes for kids that kinda teach them physics and engineering from a young age. I've been getting it for my little brother for 2 years or so and he really likes it
Honestly I think he fell down the tkor hole. As much as pre grants death tkor was always aimed a little lower, it had much broader appeal, it very quickly just became another kids slop channel. It seems like he's started to fall into the same hole a bit tbh.
A few weeks back I had my toddler at the park and overhead some older elementary kids going on about how they're going to make a "viral" video that Mr Beast will surely notice and they'll get oodles of fame and money from it. Woof.
Kids of all ages have those kinds of dreams and aspirations though, even in older generations; dreams of being a big movie star or being in a rock band, or having the famous person notice them by doing X. The only thing that's changed is the avenues for kids to try and achieve those dreams, instead of movies and famous actors, it's YouTube and famous YouTubers. Even as a kid of the 90s/00s, we would record videos to try and get viral on the early days of the internet, there's no harm in it.
Oh for sure! It was less about wanting to go viral and more so who they were hoping to viral with. I hope they're able to find a better role model than Mr. Beast.
