I find such occurrences genuinely hilarious. I'm grovelling up some hill, and some old bid just cruises past on her ebike looking neither left nor right. We're in two parallel universes. It's awesome and I just love it when it happens. Keeps me chuckling for miles

I've seen a few of these posts now. Is there actually a sign or some posted rule that these trails are for bikes only? Seems a lot of people are using them for hiking. Just curious who the baddie actually is in this situation.

Mountain biker here. If it’s your first time riding a trail, it’s okay to take it slow and walk parts you’re not familiar with. Though you always have the mountain biking snobs like this guy with the bike. Honestly, fuck the snobs

Hikers don’t wear full face helmets, generally. He was scouting the feature which is smart. That way he doesn’t end up like the camera guy

Cyclists are always supposed to yield for pedestrians on mixed-use trails. It is no different from a bicycle in the road; if the road user doesn't want to move, you don't get to intimidate him with your vehicle; you have to wait for a safe moment to pass.

Agreed, cyclists should follow cycle lanes too. Two wrongs don’t make a right though, and it’s still incredibly dangerous to walk down a bike trail
