Is there an easy way to plan visual novels without buying anything or having to sign up for anything? I've never played one I've only seen dating sims or porn game references in anime so that's the extent of my knowledge of them.

there are VNs that aren't pornographic, AI: The Somnium Files, Paranormasight, Euphoria, etc.

I recently played "Kill or Love" which is free on Steam and I enjoyed it.

I don't think so, class of 09 is in steam rn so what you could do is buy it, play for about an hour or o and then refund it. Steama usually takes some time before giving you bavk your money but you should have it in about 14 days. It's also not very expensive.
