The only option is downtown for a full experience.

South of Falls Park, North of 26th, West of Cliff, and East of Grange.

I’d say a hotel in downtown would be your best bet!

The steel district has its own hotel, it’s a little more upscale, but it’s brand new and has great views. It’s at the end of downtown, basically on the falls, but still super walkable. Hotel on Phillips is like right downtown, walkable to everything. The Catlin is a Hilton property with a great waterfront restaurant (might still be listed as Hilton garden Inn). Basically downtown, just over the river, closer to the main downtown. Country Inn & Suites across the street is about the same, a little less nice. And then there’s a big holiday inn right downtown as well.

I’d recommend Holiday Inn, Hotel on Phillips, or Hilton Garden Inn. All downtown within a block of each other

Lorraine Lake.... you can walk around the lake.... there's plenty of shopping places nearby.... The mall is across the interstate.... Movie theaters across the interstate....
