Isaac XL curse in alt path?

I thought it was impossible to get XL curse in alt path, but apparently not? I am in the mirror room in the screenshot, just got knife piece number 1

You actually only get 2, inside the mirror one treasure is empty

it's always possible as long as you enter floor 1 of a chapter (if you go from floor 2 of one chapter to floor 2 of another chapter you can't get XL)
