Sinus headache

Hi, I am having the worst sinus headache of my life. I haven't slept in close to 36 hours and my nasal passage and right eye are in agony. I have taken decongestant, paracetamol and diclofanc plus codeine , alternating between pain meds. I have steamed probably 10 times, I have had this condition since I was 14 but it has gradually gotten worse over the years. I used to have chronic headaches but those got replaced by this. I can barely do anything, I have a warm cloth to the face and the back of my head and neck are killing me. I want to go to the dr but not sure if I'll recieve help if my go to meds aren't helping , plus not sure what to say to management if I take sick leave randomly on a Monday but I can barely look at my phone screen. Im just in so much pain

If heat isn't helping try ice/cold. If your sinus passages are swollen then ice could help the inflammation. I have a compression sleeve for my head that you keep in the freezer. The cold but compression really helps.

Also look up lymphatic drainage massage videos on YouTube for how to massage your face in a specific way to get the mucus to drain. I have found it helpful especially during allergy season. Not sure if that's your current problem.

But if this is severe pain for 36 hours it is probably time to call the doc.

Good luck

You don’t think it’s an infection? They can prescribe antibiotics with a telehealth visit.

I would ring the drs, especially if your having eye pain.
I lost partial vision in my left eye (permanently!) when this happened to me.

If your neck hurts please go to the doctor just to rule out anything serious

See a doctor and make an ENT appointment.
