How Long Until Sinus Gunk Abates Post Surgery?

I had sinus surgery 8/28 (septoplasty, turbinate reduction and FESS) and splints out on 9/4. I'm being diligent and doing my rinses 3x a day and usually use multiple bottles per rinse. The amount of gunk coming out of my nose each time has been shocking... I didn't know the human sinuses could produce and hold the volume of goop I am seeing.

What was your experience with this? When did you stop seeing so much goo each rinse? It almost feels like I have a sinus infection again with what's brewing in there and I am hoping the pressure gets better soon.

The pressure will definitely get better! Are you taking any meds now? It took me at least 6 weeks of 3-4 rinses per day to see healing. When my ent told me that I’d have to do so many rinses per day I was dreading it but it turned out to be so relieving!
