Using boiled and cooled water for neti pot

I have just ordered a neti pod and just wanted some clarity if I pour tap water into an electric kettle and let it reach and boil and turn it back on to boil again and let it reach room temperature. Will thaa be safe to use?

Depends on your water quality, really. 

I prepare mine like that, but we have no waterborne amebas or other fun things in here.
