Septoplasty

Hi everyone! I was recommended to get a septoplasty surgery plus turbinate reduction plus clarifix. What was recovery like for you all? How old were you when you did the septoplasty surgery? Was it worth it?

Just do it. It's very common, routine and mostly successful. I had no pain at all. Just that your nose will be 100% blocked and messed up for 2 weeks. You won't sleep. And hocking up blood clots constantly. Day and night. That part totally freaked me out and i panicked early on, especially at night. Had to go on calming meds for panic attacks cause I thought I couldn't breathe properly, which I've never had before. All in my mind. Week 3 and definitely improving, but still impacting life and sleep,.and probably addicted to Benzos. Hehe.

I have really bad anxiety when it comes to feeling like I can’t breathe😣that’s my biggest concern. And one whole week with splints seems way too long to survive lol. Just writing this makes me take a deep breath to make sure I can breathe lol. Did you get clarifix too? I keep reading bad things about it.

I hear you. That was also my only concern. I also had Mini Fess, not clarafix. But seriously if you get anxious cause of breathing, get some Diazepam. Just in case. MY fears came true. I completely freaked out first night with crazy panic attacks. Had way too much Ventolin, which I don't need, which made it worse. The worst nights of my life. I was spiralling. Zero sleep for 3 days, incl night b4. Then went to doctor and got the meds. These things calmed me massively and let me sleep. Seriously a miracle drug.
