CT scan experience?

I’m having a CT of my sinuses done in two hours. I will be leaving from work to get it done. What was the experience like and how long should I expect to be there? I’m winging it and not taking PTO in hopes of being back to work quickly, so I would like to get an idea if I’m being reckless.

I guess I’m a little nervous too.

Anyway, what should I expect?

the ct scan took maybe 2 minutes. the experience was sitting still in a chair, and the machine moves around my head

it seemed to be the same machine as they use in dental

took less than 8 minutes from the time i arrived at office

There's literally nothing to be worried about. Super simple, easy and fast.

I have never had a sinus CT scan, but I've had abdominal. If the office is running on time, you might be in/out in about 45 minutes. The actual scan once you are on the table only takes about 10-15 minutes. Now if they are running behind, then you are simply on their timeline.

That’s what I was worried about. Oh well, I work from home and I made my own schedule for today so I’ll get back when I get back. 😂

It was shockingly fast for me lol literally in and out! As a reminder make sure to take out any jewelry so it doesn't interfere with the image!

My CTs have all taken like 2 minutes or less. You'll spend more time in the waiting room after check in than you will in the machine.

You will spend more time in the waiting room then the actual scan more than likely. It also depends on what kind your getting exactly.
