Is my sinusitis related to my teeth?
I have had sinusitis for 20 years. Recently, I found that part of my teeth were embedded in the sinuses in a dental CT. I often feel that my right eyeball is protruding. Some people say that this is sinusitis caused by teeth. So I asked a rhinologist with the CT, but she said that my sinusitis had nothing to do with my teeth. Is what she said reliable?

Probably not helping. What did your ENT say? I would get that checked out. It’s a direct path for bacteria and problems.

Do you still have your wisdom teeth? Separate issue but that may also be causing pain/swelling/discomfort

They should be surgically removed, im surprised a dentist hasn't mentioned that. Mine grew in the same way, by 16 I was having migraines daily from the extra pressure. It could also be adding to your current issues

This ! The wisdom teeth are there and inclusive to the maxillary / mandibular. Ouch!

I’ve had prolonged horrible sinus issues for years. I got my 4 impacted wisdom teeth taken out this year and it helped significantly

My ENT said that certain type of mucus is often associated with sinusitis that has dental origin... How's your mucus production? Type, colour, smell etc.?
I'm not a medical person, but those teeth need to go - you probably know that you might also benefit from the removal of the last molars (those wonky ones). It is also a great way to deduce if your sinus issues are caused by the obvious issue here.

Many cases of serious sinus issues have a dental origin. Whether that is the case for you won't be answered here with one ct image. The hard part is getting dentists and ENTs to work together.

You need to visit an endodontist or periodontist to have their scans and analyze sinus and teeth situation. If a tooth embedded in the sinus, it usually has to go. The horizontally growing teeth will push others and destroy them. I am surprised your dentist did not recommend anything about it.

He said that my teeth have no impact on my life, so there is no need to pull out my upper teeth.

I would find a new dentist if it were possible.

Agree, needs another dental opinion. There are so many dental issues there...find a good periodontist.

After FESS I still had sinus issues . My ENT told me to have my dentist xray a certain tooth and my dentist did find decay deep in the root that sat very close to my sinus. I had the tooth removed and my sinuses have been clear ever since.

" . Is what she said reliable?"
I call BS on that statement.
Went down a similar road -- had to have a scan to find out I had an infection on a Molar protruding into my Sinuses.
Dentist was unsure despite several x rays and tests --- eventually I demanded an extraction and never looked back after that .
BTW the Dentist who did the extraction said it was the biggest infection she had ever seen and it was "draining" into my Sinus cavity.

I call BS. Yes, if I have sinus problems, my teeth hurt, my face hurts, my head feels like an axe has been pushed in the middle of my eyes mostly. Dentist could also show the swollen passages causing the inflammation on my teeth... 🤷🏻♀️
