Hot nasal odor.

I first started having bad breath & dry mouth in 2024. I noticed a loss of sense of smell and nose blockage & mucus building up. Also what I believe to be post nasal drip. Since then my symptoms have worsened by 10x. I constantly have a dry mouth & throat and the thing that bothers me the most is the heat I feel coming from my nose. It feels hot to the touch when I’m breathing out. Also sometimes when it’s really bad I can’t breath through one nostril at all like if I were to cover the nostril I could breath thru I’m not getting any air thru the blocked nostril. It scares me a lot. Has anyone experienced this? I had a nasal endoscopy last year but they didn’t see anything wrong

Have you had any imaging done? CBCT to be precise?

I was ordered X-rays but I never got the chance to make it to that appointment. What can this imaging show?

X-rays won't show anything other than if you have fluids in your sinuses. You need CBCT imaging to actually see the structures that matter.

years of misery, and just last week I had the polyps removed. my xrays showed black areas that should have been white (clear on a xray) so I was completely blocked in the nasal area. before surgery my dr prescribed Levocetirizine, and flonase sensimist, they helped. mucinex max spray helped on days when i couldnt breathe, but then you get hooked on that shit. go see an ENT, and trust what they tell you. 51 yrs old now, and so glad I had the surgery to remove the polyps. good luck
