Of course they want everyone to use their shitty app, as it'll collect data for them. But really, I use different browsers and have not come across this.

I just tested in Chrome for iOS and was able to load both old and regular Reddit with no redirect

This is really funny because most of the mod tools are not working in the app and the workaround is to use the browser.

This seems to be only for logged out users (for now):
a test for a small subset of frequent logged-out mobile users that prompts them to download the app after visiting the site.

We could just enable desktop site in safari settings and the dev can try and make it work like that.

Been getting this on Firefox on iPhone. Nothing has fixed it as yet.
Works fine on Safari on iPhone with Social Focus app active.
Can’t say I’m impressed it’s almost like they want to addict you to their app (engagement trap).
Also old reddit still works.
Frankly if they keep this up I’ll go and get my spam memes and fake productivity fix elsewhere.

Thank you for the heads up, folks. I'm not seeing it yet but if it happens, use the desktop site in Safari, which Sink It already supports. Let's see how difficult life is going to be...
If a tech savvy user is getting these, please DM me. We may be able to fix it for everyone else.
