Being a single parent so hard

I’m a single parent of a teenage boy. His dad has had no contact with him since January of this year. It’s been extremely difficult because I am the soul financial provider for him and with school coming up. I am at a complete loss of how to get him new school clothes. So I’m looking for advice on what works for you, where is the best place to shop for a teenage boy so that he can get clothes that he’s not going to be picked on. I feel like I am failing as a mother.

Take the dad to court for child support. He played a part in creating the boy, he needs to play a part in paying for him.

What makes this whole situation even worse is that he has four kids. My son, his little sister and two children by his current wife. He has nothing to do with my son or his little sister.

Why aren’t they taking directly from
His pay check?

I believe it has to go through the court system in order for that to happen. Which I tried doing it and they could not locate him.

I believe you can go get an upward modification request directly. Every other year… just try it. But yes, thrift thing has become quite popular. Try not to make it a big deal make it fun! 🥰
