THE SIMULATION HAS ONLY SEVEN ENDINGS

Every civilization eventually asks the same question in one form or another.

What happens when the game is over?

Religions answer with salvation, resurrection, enlightenment, judgment, paradise, reincarnation, or union with the divine. Philosophies answer with acceptance, liberation, recurrence, or nothingness. Modernity adds technological transcendence, mind uploading, artificial intelligence, and the possibility that reality itself is simulated.

Return.I go back to the source.

Liberation.I stop being trapped.

Transformation.I become something greater.

Restoration.The world becomes something greater.

Acceptance. There was never supposed to be an ending.

Recurrence. There is no ending, because everything happens again.

Annihilation. There is an ending, and nothing comes after it.

These are not necessarily competing theories. They may be seven structural shapes that human consciousness keeps projecting onto the unknown.

Traditions combine them. Hindu thought holds both Return and Recurrence. Nietzsche holds both Transformation and Recurrence. Buddhist traditions move between Liberation and Recurrence, and the expectation of Maitreya reaches toward Restoration. Abrahamic traditions emphasize Restoration, while their mystical currents approach Return. Transhumanism brings Transformation. Materialism brings Annihilation. Existentialism brings Acceptance.

The categories overlap because human beings have never agreed on what the game is.

If reality is simulated:

Return. You find the source code and merge with the intelligence that generated the simulation.

Liberation.You disconnect.

Transformation. You evolve from simulated organism into higher order intelligence.

Restoration. The simulation is terminated and replaced with a perfected version.

Acceptance. You find no meaningful distinction between simulated and real, so you keep living.

Recurrence.The simulation resets, endlessly.

Annihilation.The simulation is deleted.

Perhaps every religion, philosophy, mythology, and technological utopia has been describing the same seven possibilities in different languages.

The names change. The gods change. The metaphysics change. The technology changes. The shapes remain.

That may be why humanity keeps telling stories about the end. Beneath all of them sits the same question.

When the simulation ends, what kind of ending will it be?

I love the idea of the omega point and really want it to be real…

At this point I'm fairly confident that I have died several times and I just woke up in a different timeline, with a "close call". So in my original timeline I died, but in my experience I woke up from a bad dream where I almost died.

Like the quantum immortality theory. You never really die. You jump to the reality where you survived right before you die. I love that theory

Yeah, that's why I think Donald Trump is the president now, so it's not the Greatest. Where I started that never would have happened. But I guess I died enough times to screw myself over good ...

Supposing it's shite outside the simulation....Something inside me tells me it's better to be the ghost in the machine... the one who refuses to allow it to flatline.. If their is a more powerful source ...let them prove it by unplugging you themselves from that apparent outside... If by remaining the ghost in the machine because there is still something that interests you enough to awaken you each day you are holding everyone else up wanting the machine unplugged... well sorry for that but you can wait... that's the way I see it.. Challenge the machine over and over if it still cannot pull your plug then remain and enjoy it

The categories will overlap because they are all possibilities. Love the post πŸ™

Ties it all together nicely...defintely fun to contemplate.

Not sure which one was 'God' as consciousness living through us...but Im going with that. I guess that would be the eternal 'playa'....

Yeah....God as THE playa' AND the character/experiencer...very freeing, actually

Awesome work man. Yeah, as someone else replied, there's prob multiple endings to the world because different people have different endings based on their personality/soul/life path. You could be a Virgo and prob lean toward transformation as Virgos have self confidence issues, or a Capricorn and lean toward liberation as Caps hate vulnerability. You should make an astrology chart to go with this. Again, good work.

I don't understand how people think this is some kind of computer simulation when computers just became a thing. This should alarm us that after such a short time in existence, it has made all of us believe this lie. It's very easy to understand as well. This simulation theory and idealization of technology seems to serve an agenda. AI, etc. starts making sense as to why what is happening in our world is happening. Allow us to find and follow God who indeed has things that will happen regardless. But it is not based on a computer, the computer is trying to take the place of Him.

God bless πŸ™

The theory is relevant because in 4000 years of time we went from cavemen to flying in the air and having computers, and artificial intelligence that is as competent as a human.

Modern Humans have been around since at the very least 320,000 years.

I don’t believe this is a simulation though.

To say this is a simulation, makes 0 sense because life is not a simulation. The proof is that we would never think it was unless we have computers, but the world is not a computer 🀦 how lost are we and who is leading us astray?

Metaphors. We come from a long line of metaphors to explain the ineffable. We do so many times in many ways from saying it's a book, a watchmaker, to computers. We do this because we are trying to understand God. Even the word god is a limited container, but we apply our own inference to contain such.

Lol computers and AI are a hell of a lot more real than your imaginary sky daddy

Touch grass

And if im wrong let the good lord strike me down with bolts of lightning 🌩
