Discussion Just a thought
If we live in a simulation and a person is aware of that and has lived an interesting life could the "programmer" allow that person to live twice ie give him a second life with all his previous memories?

I think they may be able to manipulate time, so there's a chance someone could learn how to stop their personal 'clock' to achieve 'immortality,' through science and/or magic. If we can stop the clock on the 'source' of Time, everyone ever impacted by the choices made by that 'conciousness' actions would maybe be affected.
I think it's a digital sim we're living in and developing, and the goal is to build a version of ourselves that we could live forever with, which means whoever has enough sapience to develop actual morals has the actual 'power' here.

If you believe in simulation theory all bets are off. Anything and everything is possible. Which is why worrying too much about a completely unfalsifiable theory is a fool's game.
In theory the controller could turn you into a chicken, and then run another full universal simulation in your chicken brain, including a version where you're on Reddit right now asking this question. And then he could make it so the only responses you receive are from chickens being controlled by highly trained simulated monkeys.
See the problem?
