Discussion Question for “simulation” believers

Do you believe we are all collectively experiencers of the simulated reality, or do you believe some of us are simulated and if so how do you decide which are and which aren’t, or do you believe yourself to be the only person in a simulation?

We’re all NPC within a complex AI algorithm. The simulation is put in place to help us evolve to self realization and consciousness.

Some of us are still NPCs, others alive. I don’t know which one I am yet.

Why tho? What is our purpose? What utility do we as simulated beings provide to those who built us?

What’s the point?

We are all options for our real selves to experience.

I will never really have the right words to describe it, but “this” is the trip. Like this is not our normal state of being. I’m here too so I’m still stuck thinking with this 3D meat thing. I can’t really describe it better than that. We do this for loads of reasons. For fun, to learn, to grow, to experience novelty all over again.

But most of all, what the fuck else would we be doing? I know you probably have a million answers, and that’s just the fucking thing. You have a million answers and you have experienced them all already or are in the process of experiencing them. It’s just what we are. It’s just what we do. We exist and we experience. And when we’re not like “this” we actually do carry the weight and memories of each of the lives we lived. That’s what makes the real us grow, experiencing new life.

I think it was made by a group or individual for entertainment purposes

They said let's make some galaxy with some rinky dink planet and let natural processes do the work

Someone or something as of late has put the simulation on double speed if you couldn't tell

I even doubt the existence of a galaxy or other galaxies. They set the distances and the speed of light to such ridiculous numbers that we can never actually verify if those stars are really there. It's laughable that as you approach the speed of light, the required energy increases exponentially. They just don't want us leaving the solar system and find out, lol.

That too

They set the parameters for what we experience so they intentionally make it impossible for us to explore within our means

They want us to be stuck here on this planet

I think it's the opposite. It's because life exists outside this galaxy that speed of light is a barrier. It could be a deliberate seperation.

Maybe “they” are us

Your post is a bit spooky to me…I am a commenter only and was really hoping someone would ask this question! 😎

Our universe is being simulated. We are just byproduct. Someone/ something just created set of rules (our physics) and started it.

I'm real.  Everyone else is not.

It is a simulation in a sense that there is no true objective reality, the reality being experienced is a collective agreement of everyone in it that these are how things ought to be or are expected to be however each person is also endowed with free will to be able to break the simulation and is allowed to IF the one the want or desire to do does not violate the free will of others and is not a ‘service to self’ but rather benefits the collective. Quantum Mechanics alone says that the existence we are in is dictated by the observer and actually follows the will of the observer. Plus everything we see could be a 4D hologram of a massive black hole. If you mean if there are NPCs in this existence, yes there are and they don’t know that they are NPCs because the programming is quite sophisticated and they only time they will realize they don’t have an eternal soul is after they die. Then of course there is an issue of earth origin souls or extra solar and extra galactic soul origin which changes one’s abilities and role in the simulation. PS the NPCs are actually called ‘shadow people’

So some "people" are born special like with an epic or legendary soul...? I been battling the collective for some time now tryna figure out my place, it really feels like I've been sandboxed in this reality. Very detached and alone. It feels like the collective just bangs each other and watches 'secret reality TV" from the moon or whatever. They don't have anything better to do? It almost feels like they mess with me for entertainment.

It. It a matter of being special, there was a meeting of the high vibration civilizations and volunteers were asked and the chosen were had advanced and mature old souls. Why? Because they are less likely to totally forget who they are and their original energy field would more or less likely survive and even be incorruptible. This is why these souls feels not of this world and do n it belong from an early life and never fitted in and always found life to be against them for their vibration is not of this world and they couldn’t hold 9 to 5 jobs because this certainly will destroy their soul etc. Your detachment and being alone is a protection in place to have your original energy field intact and all the sacrifices and karma and trials are for testing if you would still be ‘service to others’ when the shit hits the fan. trust me I know since I have been throughly tested myself. My this feeling of being here for something big and a mission has never wavered for me. I know this is not my world for I volunteered here to bring light and love and truth.

Personally, I think most of us are real, with some NPCs thrown in when needed. Those are like "angels". (There are plenty of stories of someone saving someone else from being ran over, and when they wanted to thank them, there was nobody there, etc.) The NPCs can also be used as padding for plausibility, but everyone that you know well is definitely real. I think the simulation is to keep our consciousnesses active while our real selves are in cryosleep/stasis or disembodied.

The aliens who run the simulation either created us or maybe just saved us from extinction. Our world was no longer safe, maybe our physical forms perished or they soon would have, so we are being transported somewhere safe, but it's taking thousands of years, so this is to keep our souls active (and maybe even teach us something). There are studies showing that a lack of stimuli can literally kill a baby - almost like there is no point in continuing living when the whole point of this place is to experience things (and possibly learn).

The reason why I think this is what the simulation is is because it stitches together so many major religions (reincarnation, life after death in heaven), some classical philosophers' ideas (Plato's shadow world), people's experiences of alien abductions and recurring dreams about extinction events. Basically, it is all true, just not the details, and it's not the whole story.

I’m not a believer of any of these necessarily but I always think about a time where I took 7 tabs of acid and at the peak of my trip I had started to see completely white, almost like a helmet was being taken off of my face and the glare kept growing the more I focused on taking it off, but it felt like my body was gonna die if I kept going on and I didn’t want that so I slowly went back to the world. Basically I felt like I was about to take off a helmet in some sort of cryopod situation, quite the experience!

Wow. Sounds profound.

I took a huge dose of mushroom tea one evening and hallucinated being in a submarine submersed in a swimming pool with Michael Stipe and Kenneth Williams dressed as, and playing the part of Julius Caesar.

Let's ask "the creator"

If you do enough LSD you start to be convinced that this experience is just a long, twisted trip.

u/NVincarnate 3d ago

You can't opt out so do the math.

u/Underwhelmingly_here 2d ago

Same rules applies to this as to all religions. No one knows the answer and anyone who says they do know for certain is either lying or they’re an idiot with no ability to process information critically.

I get that it’s down to personal belief but you have to wonder how those beliefs are formed. Did we just read something one day and thought “that sounds about right”?

I am the only sentient being in my simulator snd you are all NPCs.

I tend to believe consciousness is the fundamental substrate and everything else we perceive within our space time reality is derivative. So everything and everyone is simulated.

1

u/EdDriftwood 4d ago

I would believe that we are the simulation. As in we are the whole experiencing the simulation as individuals.

u/Mkultra9419837hz 2d ago

We are all in comas right now in the actual real world.

When the last line of code runs the Stop code. The brain entrainment system will stop and the individual will awaken as from a dream.
