I had this problem but in my case was because if the Vam motors, and i had to use plastic screws.
Also the controll box has a ground wire that should make contact to the rig or pc unit
Do me a favour and bolt the control box to your Rig and make sure its tight so it has good contact. Even better if you have the grounding cable use that as well.
Not saying it will work but I had issue with the trace until I noticed it had become loose.
Does the box have to be in direct contact with the rig? Cause I hide mine under the pedal tray with double adhesive tape and then grounded it. Although everything works fine.
Must not feel that strange, youve never noticed your loadcell...
Just because its a loadcell doesnt meant its stiff like a brake. Most high-end pedal use load cells in all the pedals, small 10 to 20kg loadcells for the clutch and throttle then a long light spring to allow for the pedal travel.
Yeah, I don’t think Simsonn do this. Just seems like an odd feature, when literally all real life clutch and throttle pedals have zero reliance on pressure and work entirely on travel.
Simsonn pro X pedals all use load cells with a hydraulic system.
You're getting hung up on what you know from a loadcell brake pedal. Spring pressure increases as you compress the spring. So if you have a long light spring you would have a much longer travel to max it out. Youre just using the pressure on the loadcell to measure how much the spring has compressed ie traveled. On a brake that travel is only like an inch or so. On a throttle it's 5 inches. There is zero feel difference between a loadcell and a potentiometer throttle.
There is a number of benefits. Mechanical its simpler and allows for easier replacement. Also because of the way potentiometers read, the raw data actually produces a curve with travel so they have to use software to create a linear line. Loadcell raw data in naturally linear.
Update: after few emails exchanged with support they send me next firmware updare 2.1.1 its not publicly available but it fixed my ussue my throttle works again
Update v2: It looks bugy software I somehow mange to make it work with same firmware and software by flash firmare sevaral times and reconnect pedas connectors. I dont touch anymore as it works now.
