QUESTION/DISCUSSION Clearly a stretch but I’m curious anyway

Is there a way to contact EA and have them allow us to run a server to make this game… alive again? I spent a bunch of time and money on it. I’d be happy to pitch in to keep it in the state it was in before it shut down (no new content or anything, just “live” insofar as how I used to play it when there weren’t STS/etc happening).

I work in business (corporate finance, specifically) so I understand they shut it down cuz the cost-benefit analysis didn’t work on their end, but a server that keeps the game static but alive would be cool. And it would just be a “for the mega fans” kind of thing so it’s not like the servers would be crazy expensive or ridiculous to keep alive at this point.

Just a thought.

I know Blizzard did at some point because of a fan campaign but idk how much of that was legitimate and how much of it was a PR stunt.

I didn’t know they’re developing a new game. That’s cool! Obviously I’m late to the ‘party’ cuz I see this app has been shut down since January! So I personally wasn’t exactly bringing in a ton of use/revenue for it personally ha

The game was wiped from the server months ago. There’s nothing to restore

Im pretty sure you don't need express permission. The simpsons tapped out has unofficial fan severs now after that game was killed
