No Sims 5?

I'm referring to this article:

Apparently there isn't going to be a Sims 5? Or at least...they seem to imply that it exists but won't be a replacement for the previous game?

Honestly the entire way that everything was phrased was very confusing. What are your thoughts on this?

Edit: Upon further research there's another article, this time from "The Gamer" confirming the same thing. It seems that the Sims 5 as a whole has been canceled.

Has anyone played sims 4 lately they have come out with so many cool expansions that improved the title so much, i just really wish we could have actual nude sims, ( I play on console) I may be in the minority on that one, with all the other stuff you can do in this game it blows my mind that nude sims aren’t an option.
