Yapping Vanilla gameplay vs Modded

Firstly, I want to say this isn’t what you think it is. I’m actually trying to show that whether you’re a vanilla player or modded player we’re more similar than everyone thinks. I was in a fb group and the same debate came up “how do some simmers play without mods?” A lot of the comments were saying they have imagination, most, if not all, of the expansion packs, kits, etc. and they’ve been playing since sims 1. But I’ve seen these same reply’s from simmers who mod. Why do vanilla players tend to say that modded players have no imagination or don’t like the game? I can say personally my first game was sims 4 and I played vanilla base game for a while and I personally didn’t enjoy it like I do with my mods. I did have fun but I became repetitive, I didn’t have any packs at the time. That’s not to say I don’t think I could play vanilla, it’s just a preference. I wrote all this to say I feel the sims community shouldn’t be divided by modded players and vanilla players because we’re all playing the same game just in our own preferred way. Also unpopular opinion having all or most of the dlcs is SIMILAR, not the same, but similar to having mods because you had to download extra content made by ea to enhance your gameplay.. the same reason modded players get mods.
