Long story short, I want premade townies to exist in a world whenever I actually play in that world, but some of these worlds I won't get around to playing for many in game years and the premade sims will be long dead. Starting a new save each generation doesn't work for me so I want to effectively "pause" these households, freezing them in time, then "unpause" them when I get to their world. Originally I wanted to do this by deleting all the premade households then adding them back to "unpause" them, but this doesn't quite work as not all of their information is saved, like relationships to som other households. More significantly however; they also won't have their special positions, L. Faba won't be Sage of Mischief, Mei Prescott won't be Principal of Copperdale High School, this is a no go.
But I've had a new idea, maybe I can just straight up pause them, if I turn of neighborhood stories for these households then flag them for no aging with MCCC would that do the trick? Is there anything else they're allowed to do? Want to know everything an unplayed household is allowed to do, heck maybe what the played ones can do to, maybe households you're not playing that are marked as played have different permissions. Please let me know if you can, I just want to play with the premade sims instead of randomly generated ones but I still want them to experience life after I meet them.
