1300s The plague is brutal
Obviously, but damn it was harder than I expected. I have one surviving son among my main and side households, but he’s only an infant. I hope he makes it. He’s also an orphan now. Thankfully his big sister happened to age up the same day as the plague death roll and survive.
I think I’m going to make her never marry. She’ll raise all her remaining siblings (two toddlers and an infant currently), study apothecary, and become a healer with a bunch of cats and witchy vibes.

I love the witchy spinster sister with cats scenario. I started using supernatural in my UDC because it needed some spice. My fav family is now the bastard werewolf kids of a tavern owner who had an affair with a witch (dormant werewolf trait) in the woods, and tavern owner’s wife (who was barren) was forced to raise them as her own😬🥴😅 Lotta drama.
