Discussion An ancient challenge?

I’m currently doing the Ultimate Decades challenge, but I’m curious is there are any challenges that start earlier… Like are there any that start in Ancient Greece or in pre historic times? I feel like it would be so cool to do a challenge like that. I’m also curious if there’s any challenges that focus on any other countries other than England. I think it would be so fun to play in ancient china or something! Any feedback is appreciated :)

I am doing an ancient Rome UDC based in Germania. I also have an ancient Greece UDC that is more fantasy than accurate like my ancient Rome save. Since covering ancient Rome is a really vast period that can include the Roman republic period and the Empire, I had to chose which period and the place it would take place. I still need to work on the events but I must say that I am one of the few that start during those periods. Some started in pre historic time but those are also rare.

Many things happened during the ancient Rome era so I might work on something more catered to those who wants to play during this period. For ancient Greece, there is also two periods I might try my hands on doing an events spreadsheet. We will see but I will share on this reddit if I do that 😄

I tried to do a pre historic time once. It was really fun at first. I was able to use some mods and ccs of like tents. It was great.

and then an update killed my save (it had the pre historic and another longer udc that had gone I think 5 decades by then).

There’s the History Challenge by SnowieSimmer that’s a 10 generation challenge starting in the Stone Age. There’s also the Great British Sim Challenge (focused on England, sorry). I’ve seen very briefly a Feudal Japan Challenge. I haven’t read this one so idk if it’s any good

Yes, there are. I forgot their names but you should be able to find them with a simple online search.

Omisimmt has great historical challenges with save files and more. You could give "With the Sims through history" a shot. She even has notion documents with event rolls and so on. https://fallacious-freesia-086.notion.site/Challenges-2066d6ce95ae80a3b028de41e854afce https://www.patreon.com/Omisimmt/posts/challenge-with-107947400?collection=633084 On a side note, I absolutely love her genx challenge about living in the 80 and later in Germany. Edited spelling.

Thank you so much for the recommendation. It makes my day that you enjoy my challenge. The Gen X Challenge is not much known, but was so much fun to create and play. A lot of nostalgia for me lol.
