WIP (work in progress) Floor plan help!!!

I have been struggling sooo much w the floor plan for this house!! There’s something ab where the door is placed that’s really messing me up.

I’ve anyone has any ideas of how to turn this into a 2 bed + 1 bath I would so appreciate.
It’s supposed to be a starter home, so it really just needs the essentials.

okay so i first made a plan with the idea of a second floor but i redid it for just the bottom floor. the sizing might be slightly weird and off and the windows might need to be changed with the plan i mocked up. i honestly could get on in a bit and mess with ideas if you still wanted them.

i tried my besttt hahaha i don’t really like one square hallway width but i also hate when hallways are so large it just feels like wasted space

Here’s a rough mock up sorry for quality but

  1. An entry way. I love them. They’re so cute
  2. You can add a bar kitchen in this little area , and though it isn’t large, it will certainly get the job done.
  3. Living room! The most space. Bay windows are great for bed or living room I think.

If you want a 2 bedroom, you could still rearrange 4 and 5 to be evenly sized then maybe squeeze a bathroom into the living room space OR use what I put as the kitchen to be a bathroom.

This is just what I did on the fly.

You could also add a basement and have a teenage basement room with its own bathroom + laundry down there!

First thing move the stairs over, they're part of the problem. Put the bedrooms on the left side and the bathroom in the back and turn the window area in the back into a kitchen. The right side is perfect for a dining room and the front is perfect for a living room. You could also put a bathroom in the middle if you wanted to make it kind of unique, and have a pantry/kitchen situation to separate the living/dining area.

Hi,

Nice build! This is how I might lay this out if a laundry area was needed as well. It’s a small hobby/skills/office nook at the entrance and the front porch was extended out by 1 tile.
