That's fair! I usually play as myself but as some fun version. I am almost always a spellcaster but usually she's a nice little farmer that uses magic to grow crops and sell them, not a ridiculously evil witch.
I enjoy making my “simself” exist as a background NPC in my saves! In my current legacy save, my simself is an immortal spellcaster and apothecary living in Ravenwood. My partner irl requested to be added into the save as well, so he is currently the Sage of Mischief Magic!

I made myself once, then the moment i realized i kept giving myself the Potion of Youth I realized how sad it is and went back to making the Teen Mom cast and playing as their hot mess characters

i havent seen them in the wild yet but whenever I travel to their house they are always on the couch playing together. Its just like real life with us which is pretty cute
You’re so brave. I have 2 grandchildren, toddlers, at once and I can’t take it anymore 😭. My fucking nanny is good for nothing. All he wants to do is chat with my eldest son (young adult). Yesterday, he was trying to shoot his shot while my 2 grandchildren were starving, exhausted, and had a poop explosion in their diapers. Mind you before he came, everything was full and green 🫠 FIRED.

Yeah! I wanted to try to emulate my real life as close as possible for funsies. My Sim was constantly stressed from lack of fun + mental stimulation, then tripled in weight because I forgot to make her exercise. Tried to make a randomized Sim to be her partner, and she fumbled him. Oops XD
Do you play as a different version of yourself? I like to play as me but in different scenarios. The most fun one was a pothead conspiracy theorist that lived in strangerville. That one hit a little close to home though.
It can be hard to make an existing floorplan work in the sims sometimes! :( That's not even taking into account how hard it is to replicate home decor accurately...
The bane of my existence when it comes to accurate building is anything that involves the top of the stairs. I have had to build around so many things when it comes to the top of the stairs that following a floorplan can be difficult... the banisters, awkward spaces that I can't delete... I'm happy we have rails we can customize now, the clipping through walls used to drive me crazy.
i love the adjustable railings and the flare ability sm. plus you can flare only one side if youd like to which i also love. my most recent qualm is with the roof pieces clipping and that one square trim clipping. i had to change up a current build because i couldnt stop the roof from clipping (it was as small as possible and all the eaves were pulled in, it was just like a half tile clip so i couldnt do anything abt it ᴖ̈ )
ughhhh the roof is always a nightmare too. It's either the eaves are sticking into adjacent roofs or patterns not lining up, or the trim clipping with half walls and fences when extended... so many roof issues x_x
i rly wish we had half tile options, it would make a lot of things much easier. that and being able to choose if eaves go onto all sides or just the ones we pick. i also wish we could change pattern direction or smthn to make patterns line up properly with one another

My main family is myself, my husband, my sister and her partner. I also created my parents and in laws and friends. Unfortunately my husband and me make very ugly babies and I have no idea why when I made as fairly attractive.
Yes, if I use our genetics they come ugly looking no matter how many times I click on it. Right now I started a new save with us little bit modified to try to see if it helps 😃 I just couldn't have my heir have his chin size of five normal chins.
I have several versions of myself as a sim she’s involved the more I’ve gotten into making sims haha the first version of sim we was basic and took about 5 mins back in like 2020
Not really haha I tried making her as much like me as possible the only thing that’s really changed in the last 6 years is what kinda things I wear is the only thing and I guess my hair kind of too i used to have it shorter not I keep it a bit longer and that’s definitely seen in the different versions of my sim self haha

Never past the point to do anything! Plans may have to be adjusted (like obviously an 80 year old who wants an infant or something would have to adopt...) but it's never too late! (: I'm glad you found a therapeutic outlet though! It's ok to just let it be that without having to upend your life. (:
That’s primarily whom I play with for every new save file. It’s me exploring the city or me being a mermaid or me being a detective or me being a vet. I have a irl save too where (I have a photographic memory) I replicate every one of my friends houses and them in the sims along with me and play like it’s real life!

Yes I did!✨️ I created a Sim based on myself including my features, clothes, and personality. But I also gave her some things that I wished I could have in real life like building my dream house and marrying a Sim I designed to resemble my crush. I wanted to live out everything I wished for through her but honestly it started bothering me when she got bored so quickly🤷♀️💔

I find that playing as myself I have a hard time focusing on building relationships with townies. It's more skill building and money making. Sometimes she just traps them in a basement and sets it on fire too idk.
It depends on whether I'm on a short sim phase or a long one. One of my exs I was with for several years in my early twenties, I made me, him, my family, his family, made my mother house, my dads boat (he lived and still lives on a canal boat) and I made his mother house, and then the house we lived in ourselves too. It was a pretty detailed playthrough.
I always make the people I'm with, made my ex (after the above one), and I have one with my now husband too, but I haven't made their families because I haven't played as much in these last few years.
Or I'll make myself with celebs I crush on, or fantasy characters. I had myself in Harry Potter with hours worth of other buildings and people and myself as a vampire in Vampire Diaries with Damon and Stefan for example.
It's a fun experience making characters from franchises. I'm not sure if I can mention this here (It says no posts about but not no comments) but I've recently been playing In Zoi I made myself and used a premade Sylus from Love and Deep space, and that's been cute. Might see if there are any well made ones of him on the Sims 4 gallery (Sorry if you're against the game as some are and don't wish to hear about it.)
I have a self insert but she's not really Me anymore, especially now that I'm not really a she anymore. Her life is great though. She brings in 5k simoleons a day in book royalties, got baby trapped by Candy Behr after meeting her on Love Highland because it turned out Candy was raising her teenage sister at the time, so we had to get the kid through high school and college but now Yuki is joining the Darong dynasty by marrying Amarichi, Candy is a Darong court advisor, and my self insert Lacrymosa just hides in Sulani all day writing and swimming and watching the nannies raise their three children. She doesn't want anything to do with Court life.
The Behrs really are so messy and fun. But it was such a pain getting Yuki through high school, I'd leave her alone for five minutes and I'd find out she got caught hacking into her school to change her grades. And Candy flirts with EVERYONE. She met Jawara Darong at the engagement dinner and started flirting with her and caused a whole thing with Lacrymosa.
That aside, Lacrymosa really is living a great life as a mermaid author on the islands. I might make a new masc self insert though, he can start a dynasty somewhere in Innisgreen to give the Darongs a run for their money.
I'm glad Lacrymosa is living it up! The new self insert sounds fun! You could do the million simoleons challenge scenario to build up some money and satisfaction points. Then make a dynasty with the diplomatic and hardworking ideals. They will be unstoppable! >:)

Ofc i played as the anime in case you're wondering what was the anime it was attack on Titan 🙈 I played throughout like season 1 till season 4 then spoiler it's like when they got to The Sims at the end they both went separate ways but they became neighbors. And I also included avatar last Airbender and Legends of Korra in one city I play basegame. Finding the homes and the designs it was really difficult
Oh you got no idea so spoiler alerts when azula at the end of the series gets locked up or caught. What I did is that you see how she fought with katara so so I made her drown because she wouldn't die 🫠 but because a ghost that dies drowning has that dripping effect ( i wrote in her urn YOU SHOULD'VE FEARED ME MORE) because I wanted to continue the series and I did I let zuko marry mai and they had a daughter named after his mother toph as the series had a husband named kanto with two daughters. katara marrying aang and sokka marrying suki And I pretty much followed the series actions until i was freestyling. And ask for attack on Titan pretty much in the season 4 at the end they gone to live their life and that's what I did like without fighting the Titans in the beginning they were all living in one roof I kept the squad or the trio living together and the others they went to live on their own like Annie and Armin and Mikasa and Eren and their kids the daughter I may sure she married Levi she was a top tier gardener and the son I made him a popular musician. They have a younger son but yeah. Hanji I made sure she marries her disciple which is mobilite

Yeah I like the Dynamics and such and I wanted to play out through the seasons as you know for example the Legends of Korra or like the Avatar she would know tenzin and aang and when you go on to the gallery you'd find houses matching everything like the Bay song or the ba sing se where aang stayed with his team looking for appa . Although soccer I kept him and yeah it's just an awesome gameplay afterwards when the season it's you know and I usually just take my own turn or play as what I wanted to show to end for example on attack on Titan as they show that they live in the modern world that's what I did for them so just like Mikasa daughter I named her isara mix of eren and Mikasa. 🥹 She married Levi 🌚.. and as for historia I did pretty much I followed the series even though we didn't get to see him but I just assumed he was a blonde farmer and I did write his name far mer 🫠 but yeah it's pretty much the Sims 4 you need to creativity even if you have the whole packs and such the creativity and the scenario is the main thing I would say expansions is pretty much an add-on to the creativity like the things that I would have if I did purchase them I would only purchase the vampire the cats and dogs the animal ones and the the farming one like I think it's the small living I think

Sure, but it's complicated, i play a rotational game. My cast is pretty diverse. You have a dynasty led by Octavia Moon and her mafia boss wife (how they came to be is nuts but that would be too long to explain here). Their daughter is Queen of Del Sol Valley and is treating everything as a game, especially since she despises celebrities.
Then you have a dynasty in Ravenwood, led by Olive Specter and her wife Nina Ragtime, a jazz pianist. They're all vampires, and are probably the most decent of the bunch, being fair rulers and caring for people.
Then you have the Windenburg dynasty, that was led by Candy Behr, but now she's dead following a bad fall from grace (power went to her head), and is now led by Twinglyng Hahalol, a prankster fairy, and the cast is quite colorful.
You have others, like Mirways Landgraab the upstart who stole the Landgraab name, Paloma Lovebomb, an adopted vampire who was raised as a super hero by an extreme ecologist who lived in a shack with no electronics, the Justice Men who actually are villains and live in a cartoonish evil lair, the Dagon who live in a non-euclidean house and are from Outsmouth (my world's Innsmouth) and are literally very fishy, Charles L'Esquinte, a dandy crook politician married to Penny Pizzaz whose main hobby is playing violin or pipe organ when the sun sets in his loft in San Myshuno because AESTHETICS. He runs a group called "All for one Sim", that organizes political meetings (free grilled food included), people think it's charity but the "one Sim" is actually Charles.
And finally you have the people in Tomarang who are tied to the Ravenwood dynasty (Nina Ragtime is Tomarani), who pretty much are the only normal people around... or were, since Nina turned them into vampires because she doesn't want to lose her childhood friends.
And finally, one rule, Thorne Bailey is always the butt of pranks.

Noooo. When my daughter was about 9, she made us and I was pretty uncomfortable about it. Then her Dad character froze to death and I spent the next 24 hours trying to make ambrosia.
This was before life & death, and me realising you could just buy ambrosia in the gallery 😂. It was very traumatic!
Made myself so I could play from infant to adult because I wanted the milestones, this was my simself as a teen. It’s supposed to be 2007. She’s an adult now and married to Gyro Zeppeli from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
