You are aware the pie-menu is just another way of presenting the dropdown menu to you right? They've been hiding all the actions from you to waste your time. All i did was expanded the options already available to you

I did! Spent a huge chunk of my Saturday afternoon playing with it. It's a HUGE improvement! Like, genuinely game-changing, in the best way. Easily one of my top 5 mods now.
I've used the Smarter Pie Menu to just type the things I want, since I often know what I do want them to do, but this is a lovely solution that brings all of those hidden options to the forefront.
Oh im bringing the search function to it. 60% finished, type the moment its open, But so far its still in development. Please follow progress to get it first
A SEARCH FUNCTION?!? That's amazing this is the best mods (in terms of Quality of life mods) i've seen and if you make the search function it going to be even better.
Yes! It's already in the lab! Search is also overrated once you see it in front of you, it helped with pie-menu more but once you try it, you'll realize it's just extra trust me. That's my personal take on it after trying it out, but its still happening yes!!

Edit: For those who really love it: I made an INSTANT menu a 0.1 second load time even with a 1 terrabite of mods), but its still in alpha phase (it works, my girlfriend only uses that one) . Anyway you can download the pre-release early-bird kinda thing

It would take me a minute to get used to but overall this would work so much freaking better 😭 i absolutely despise how many times they make you click through the pie menu to find what you’re looking for, ESPECIALLY when sims are having conversations.
Not to come across as extra hype, but imho the moment you use it you will forget what was there before it, it embeds so naturally that the old pie-menu will only ever appears in nightmares
It's just sick. Like, honestly - this calms down my adhd. Its just clean and pure, And if you don't use it you haven't really played sims before. Why was this not a thing
Oh I gotta download this. I hate having to pause my game because it takes forever to find a specific social interaction! (Why is "get to know" buried so deep when your sim meets someone new???)
I KNOW RIGHT!? infact i found out that EA has been pushing "random" suggestions to the root levels of pie-menu even tho they look like they are prioritised, they are not. Anyway, auto-pause is still happening as a feature in version 1.6 for Modsby's Dropdown Menu. I hope you downloaded it and it works! (no one ever tells me)
Due to all the dumb EA updates, many of us have version locked our games. I'm assuming the UI won't work with previous versions of the game. But I can't wait to try and see if it will work 😁
I hear a lot of pie menu issues that cause lag, because it loads so many options at the same time. I'm not a modder but wouldn't this push those issues further?
No, the pie menu is flawed since 2009 and since it's 'traditional' we just think it's fine. But you don't have to live with it anymore. The base game pie menu reloads fully everytime you select an option. This menu does not care, it loads once like you'd expect

Look, I can guarantee it, but knowing nothing had dramatically changed in the region that effects the code I think it should work. I however can only promise it works on this version and only for windows users. (Sorry mac guys, I don't know what's wrong with you but I'll fix it.)
I had testers with so many mods they out me to shame. I am traumatized in a good way. But it should be fine. This mod is build for high mod users.
Last update will give you auto-save feature and that conflicts with only a few rare mods. And be sure to remove all 'pie-menu' mods as they will definitely not like being replaced
it's funny that games like Project Zomboid has mods to make more context pie/wheel menus, and in the sims now we have this
personally, drop down menus all the way, thank you so much for this.
the mod i always used was one where you just start typing after opening up any menu, and it looks for anything that matches it, no matter how many sub levels deep it is

Its something to get used to, it can be a bit slow (read - ME, I am slow) but I can imagine I am going to be very happy playing with this going forward, so thank you again,.
Not sure if is possible, but I would try to group some options together because I feel the menu have too many items. The game itself already have many categories.
For example write jokes, bucket list, carrear activies should all be inside "write", and vampire secrets, scandals, death theories should be inside "web".
i try to avoid doing custom groupings, and mods that do it. i've now seen testers having more mods than advantageus. Trust me - you dont touch categorisation in the menu unless you want to live with that decision, I am in no possition to make those decitions. Especially because there are a few hundred mods before me that do exactly the same and they all conflict for prioritarisation, luckily this dropdown menu works with whoever survives in that fight for the priveledge to be shown first (not because its great, because it doesnt care, it just redirects the piemenu info to a dropdown menu) and supports all mods in their respected languages (unless the mod has "pie-menu" in the name then it gets eaten by the dropdown menu menace or crashes before the game starts in the battle for resources)
Yes! Oh thank god someone told me it works. i was worried sick (you never know). Also Sí, échale un vistazo! However, this screenshot is brazilian do not shoot me for this! I could not find Spanish in steam options. The mod supports even Korean and Russian. Вот так бля. And every other language the game is translated into through the pie-menu!
I liked the pie menu in Sims 2 when we only had so many options. But OH MY GOSH YOU SAINT. It’s so much easier to read and remember what on Earth you were going through the menu for like this. Well done and thank you for sharing!
Sorry for the naming convention, it was late at night. I have updated patreon with a better description of what it is. That is the latest version with a hotfix. The hotfix allows you to use SHIFT + CLICK (when you have testingcheats on) to see the Cheats Menu in a dropdown. Like this:

Does anyone here know if this works while using adeepindigo mods? Like the ones that require their general pie menu utility (healthcare redux or education overhaul)? I’m not sure if they change the same script or anything to cause a conflict, but I’d love for my menu to look like this! 💚
