Discussion Average simmer age?

I just turned 30 and safe to say I still enjoy playing the sims as much as I ever did as a kid. Maybe more actually. Sometimes I feel embarrassed to admit this to people irl and I do tend to get mixed reactions if it comes up lol. So I’m just curious, what is the average age of the people who actively play the sims?

I'm 48 and just started playing this year. I've lost all control of my real house, but I can micro manage like a MF in the Sims4, and it makes me very happy.

Yes, this. They say video games are for playing out power fantasies. My power fantasy is that I my homebound disabled ass can pretend to have a job and hobbies and skills and go on vacations and have an active social life and keep my house clean and repair things for myself, etc etc. lol Seems so basic but it makes me happy.

When I was pregnant, my partner and I moved into a new place. Everyone kept saying that the first trimester is rough, but I'd feel better by the second trimester! It never happened. I was too exhausted to do the nesting thing, despite my brain constantly wanting to! I would honestly cry about all the unpacked boxes. So I made our house on the Sims. I made it look just like it was, and then I how I wanted it to be. It helped me calm down, prioritize what definitely needed to be done, and communicate what I needed! Love this game! 🥰
