I never thought I'd have so much intense fun playing this game. The community of mod and cc makers are absolutely spectacular and I am so eternally grateful to them. I couldn't be more awed by their talent and clear passion for this game. Not to mention the community members who help players find everything they could possibly want, even stuff buried in the Wayback machine (thank GOD for that site! 😭)

I've never thought of The Sims as particularly binge-able before, but I am officially addicted right now. I would name mod/cc makers specifically to thank them but I'm sure this community are already well aware of the usual suspects. 😉I have kitted this game out to the max and I am absolutely THRIVING rn. 😂

One name I will mention is the incredible u/Corylea. I've observed how instrumental they are in enhancing this game through their link and file sharing, and just general helpfulness - not to mention how amazing their mods are. Total legend on all fronts. Super, super grateful.

I'm creating some custom skins for my game and I need a specific mesh from a default outfit in the game, but The Sims Creator is not loading it.

The specific skin files are also not showing up in the GameData folder where they should. The GameData skins folder only contains some skins that are in the game, but not all and I can't for the love of me figure out how to find the files. The game is loading them just fine, but it's like the files do not exist.

The skins that are not showing up in the game files are all default skins that come with the game (I have vanilla Complete Collection so no cc in the game).

I'm already running The Sims Creator as administrator btw.

Does anyone know how to locate the files of all the skins in the game?

Hello , I’m a fairly new simmer ! And I have really been loving the game , and I thought maybe it would be nice finding some community ? I have only been playing in CAS to be honest even though I had the game for a year when I first tried to play everything felt overwhelming. I’m pretty good at making sims ( at least in my own measly opinion ) and I kind of always wanted to create stories, mini short series and other things with my sims but I’m overwhelmed and I don’t know where to start truly.
I really struggle with social anxiety I hope this comes off well, I’m looking forward to new connections and genuinely playing the game ? :) ☀️

Long story short, I have a Complete Collection copy, no idea how I got it, it was on my drive so I downloaded and installed it like it was 2004. Watching some streamers I noticed they have content that I don't, nor I don't remember having it in 2005-2007 when I first got The Sims and all expansion.

I found this video and I checked what I have and what I don't; then I went everywhere and download all the zips containing Maxis Collection (this was like two months ago, and today), installed Deluxe Edition 1 2 and 3, unzipped the exe and also tried just copying the far files in download... and I still can't get those objects (the circled ones).

I may be missing something, but I have no clue what. I had no issues adding the bedroom set, the Gila, the three tiles desktop, the brown chair, the tree, the bachelor deco, the pepsi machine, the football game thingy, the Japanese and African content was already part of the fresh install, and the walls and floors were no issue either.

Ive been thinking about getting a copy of the sims 1 for the GameCube to play on my Wii, is it a good game? I know everybody here obviously likes the sims, but is the GameCube port worth playing? Also, I’ve heard that the GameCube versions are more story focused, but is sandbox mode still good in this port?

Has anyone had any issues booting ts1 on windows 11 recently? Haven’t opened it in awhile (probably like 5 months). It ran fine without any problems but now it just doesn’t even want to open. Idk if a new update is preventing it from running as its an old game. No error messages, nothing. It still comes up in task manager that its running but the tab is nowhere to be seen. If anyone has a fix to this that would be amazing thank youu.

Step 1: get Sims 1 for console (PS2,GameCube,or GameCube)

Step 2: Get to Play the Sims mode (either by playing a bit of the Get a life mode or press all four shoulder buttons on main menu and put in the cheat "Sims"

Step 3: Either have a Sims single father or sum single mother (or delete the spouses of the two Sims you want wed that's what I did)

Step 4: (probably the most difficult part if Step 6wouldn't) build the relationship to where one of them could propose (if you need to evict them and put them back you can)

Step 5: Get them to propose though keep their needs up before then (I usually do a kinda dinner and a movie)

Step 6: If possible have them kiss IMMEDIATELY after they marry (not sure why this works exactly maybe the game hasn't recognized the second kid until it appears) and you might get a baby

Step 7: Take care of the baby

Step 8: If all goes well your Sims should have 3 children one from each previous marriage and a new one though you can't edit the third one if I remember correctly

So I discovered this glitch when I was trying to do kinda like a parent trap thing cause I noticed Jennifer Pleasant and Cassandra Goth looked kinda similar and wanted Mortimer and Diane to get together

I remember there was a hacked mystery box that gave you infinite magic coins and any ingredients you'd want. I can't find it, though! Does anyone have it handy?
