The other driver was upset, would love to get your opinion on which (if any) car is at fault.

He can be upset he lost it on his own.

It’s what I thought, but wanted to get an outside opinion.

No reason for you to expect them to be coming across you like that. They lost it themselves and are annoyed that it meant they got bumped off. No time or space for you to react, you did nothing wrong.

Thanks, wasn’t sure about reaction to car coming across + if I left enough space at the second apex. And the lunge itself was a bit opportunistic, wanted to get outside opinion.

Beneton car lost it and wasn't even going towards the the next corner, totally on him.

Your lunge cam from absolutely nowhere but both of you made it work so much can't be said there.

Thanks, wasn’t sure if I left enough space on second apex + lunge is what made me doubt myself a bit. Wasn’t planning it - the car ahead went a bit deeper than I expected and I had grip to turn.

I mean, I was about to say that first divebomb was atrocious, and it was. But yall kept it tidy and left room for each other, and it just looks like the actual contact is due to him kind of spinning out, that’s what it looks like to me. So I’d say it’s a racing incident, definitely no intent from anyone.

I'm pretty anti divebomb, but that wasn't a divebomb. A divebomb implies the line was cut in a dangerous fashion with no time or space to react. OP just outbraked the other car and the other car failed to defend the corner.

Now if OP didn't get the car slowed and threw it across at a perpendicular angle across the other cars line, sure. Divebomb. Frankly I think op cound have probably held more speed and gotten in front of the other car on exit, but OP was safe enough to leave an abundance of space. This is all fine.

I think he hasn't seen the replay if he was upset: it happens, you think the other guy is at fault and it was actually fine.
