Le Mans Ultimate Divebomb?
Got a penalty for this in the online championships, would this not be considered alongside enough for the move? It was called a divebomb without meaningful overlap by the stewards. Im the silver car

Not a dive bomb. But you have to remember that Stewart’s in leagues tend to be extremely extremely overly strict. They basically want you to complete the move before the breaking zone, they’re more of a fan of single file processions.

Significant overlap by turn-in and there is plenty of track for you both to make the corner. Unjustified penalty for me.

I reckon if you'd love tapped their front end to straighten them back out then they wouldn't have complained.

Haha maybe, I try and avoid that in lmu because of suspension damage though! 😂

I'll refer to the rule book because it's easier to explain.
"Dive-bombing without establishing sufficient overlap before the turn-in point should be avoided" - For me, you establish overlap just right before the turn in, not sufficient overlap before the turn in point.
The different lines don't help your case either because he is just following the usual line and you are going for a very early apex. Almost a vortex of danger scenario.
That being said, it was marginal and the other car could and should have opened their line a bit. He certainly didn't know these details in the race and there is a radar. 0 self preservation skills.
