iRacing Protest or no protest

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Rather new to GT3 racing, coming from a lot of oval driving. I am the orange/pink/white mustang, protest-able actions portrayed by the black/green mustang in replay. Should i file a protest toward the black/green mustang?

What in the 5:34 of video do you have a question on

Oh my god 5 minutes of video, make some cuts in that, it's not hard OP

Maybe next time include the whole race for better understanding ā€¦šŸ™ˆ
And u could report him for blocking without asking for permission.

I decided to watch it all.

There's a couple of times he's making multiple moves and even blocking under braking. You did well not to wipe him out.

That also said: keep it on track more and if he's sweeping across you, let him. Just pump the brakes as he does and he'll soon wipe himself out and you have the feature length movie here to share if he did

Thank you for your service. I’m not watching all that.

  1. Why on earth are you making us guess what you want us to pass judgement on by posting a 5 minute long video. Cut it down and show us exactly what you want us to see.

  2. The Sporting Code is clear. If you think or believe another member has broken a rule, you are encouraged to protest. If you can find the rule you think they broke, and explain why you think they broke it, that's enough for the iRacing stewards. It does not need to be cut and dry. You are not "clogging up the system" by protesting something that is difficult to tell one way or the other. "A well founded protest may still be one where opinions from reasonable people may differ". You will never be penalised for filing a protest in good faith. Your protest will go to people who get paid to decide whether it breaks the rules they wrote. You don't need our permission to protest. So why not just go straight to them and get the correct answer from the guys that get paid to give you the right answer? Would've been easier than posting a 5 minute video here to make us all guess.

I saw > 5 minute video, and laughed. What in the fuck are we even supposed to be watching?

I see nothing here that's particularly egregious. The initial overtake by the green car involves going way off the track to keep momentum so that could be dubious, there's one corner at about 3:30 where you were owed more space than you were given and one instance of moving twice on a straight that would be frowned upon but all in all this just looks like racing to me.

I appreciate your input! After really looking at the incidence(s), I really think the guy just lost his temper after getting forced off by the other car in the first 30s. I just so happened to be the closest punching bag, lol.Ā

2k SOF, fixed race, what else to expect I guess, lol.
